Spælimenninir From the Faroe Islands to the world stage, Spælimenninir have been sharing the joy of folk music for over 50 years. Founded in 1974, the band has toured across Europe and North America, from village halls in Shetland to live broadcasts on A Prairie Home Companion. Their repertoire spans traditional Scandinavian, British, and North American tunes, alongside contemporary Faroese compositions that have helped shape a vibrant new tradition. Don’t miss this rare chance to experience one of the North Atlantic’s most enduring and dynamic folk ensembles live in Aberdeen.

Support - Flamin’ Haggis: Opening the evening are Owen O’Connor and Reuben Henderson, two rising stars of Scottish traditional music who perform together as Flamin’ Haggis. Meeting through Scotland’s traditional music organisation SC&T, the duo have already wowed audiences with their mix of well-loved jigs and reels, alongside fresh, original compositions. Owen (Meldrum Academy) brings pipes, whistle, and squeezebox, while Reuben (Cults Academy) adds guitar, vocals, and songwriting flair. With their talent, energy, and passion for Scottish music, Owen and Reuben promise a vibrant and uplifting start to the night.
